1. Set up the game board: Place the infection cards in the infection deck, shuffle them, and draw three cards to place in the infection discard pile. Place the Event cards in the Event deck and deal three cards to each player. Place the Player mat in front of each player and give them their starting cards.

3. Take turns: On your turn, you can take four actions:
Move: You can move to a neighboring city or a city connected by a direct flight.
Treat disease: You can treat one disease cube in the city you are in.
Discover a cure: You can discover a cure for one disease if you have enough cards of the same color.
Build a research station: You can build a research station in the city you are in.
4. Infect cities: At the end of each player's turn, the infection deck is drawn, and new disease cubes are placed on cities.
5. Game ends: The game ends when all four diseases are cured, or when the infection deck runs out and there are no more disease cubes to place.
6. Winning the game: The players win the game if they cure all four diseases before the infection deck runs out.
7. Losing the game: The players lose the game if the infection deck runs out before they cure all four diseases.
