How to Play

How to Play Manipulus
Materials:
Manipulus board (8x8 grid)
16 pieces (8 white, 8 black)
Objective:
Capture all of your opponent's pieces or block them from moving.
Setup:
1. Each player places their 8 pieces on the second and third rows closest to them.
Gameplay:
1. Players take turns moving their pieces.
2. Pieces move one square diagonally forward or backward.
3. Pieces cannot move over or land on other pieces.
4. If a piece moves into a square adjacent to an opponent's piece, it caps the opponent's piece.
5. Capped pieces are removed from the board.
6. Pieces that reach the opposite side of the board are promoted to kings.
7. Kings can move one square diagonally forward, backward, or sideways.
Winning:
A player wins when they have captured all of their opponent's pieces or blocked them from moving.
