How to Play Goin' Up
Materials:
Standard deck of playing cards
2 or more players
Setup:
1. Shuffle the deck and deal 7 cards to each player.
2. The remaining cards form the draw pile.
3. Flip the top card of the draw pile face up to start the discard pile.
Gameplay:
1. The player to the left of the dealer goes first.
2. On your turn, play a card from your hand that matches the suit or value of the top card on the discard pile.
3. If you can't play a card, draw one from the draw pile.
4. If you can still not play a card, skip your turn and say Goin' Up.
5. The next player then plays their turn.
6. Once a player says Goin' Up, the value of the top card on the discard pile increases by 1.
7. The next player must then play a card that matches the new value or suit of the top card.
Winning:
The first player to get rid of all their cards wins.
Tips:
Pay attention to the cards that have been played and keep track of which suits and values are still available.
Hold onto high-value cards to increase the value of the Goin' Up.
Don't be afraid to skip your turn and say Goin' Up if you can't play a card.
