How to Play Battle for the Galaxy
Objective:
Conquer all planets or eliminate all opposing players to win.
Setup:
Place the game board in the center of the playing area.
Each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding ships and planets.
Place your starting ships and planets on the board.
Roll the die to determine turn order.
Gameplay:
On your turn, perform the following actions in order:
1. Movement:
Move your ships up to 2 spaces. Ships can move onto planets but cannot move through them.
2. Capture Planets:
If your ship is on a planet, you can attempt to capture it by rolling the die. If you roll the number shown on the planet, you successfully capture it and claim ownership.
3. Attack Enemy Ships:
If your ship is adjacent to an enemy ship, you can attack it by rolling two dice.
The attacker's rolls must be higher than the defender's rolls or the attack fails.
If the attack succeeds, the defender's ship is destroyed.
4. End Turn:
Pass the die to the next player.
Special Rules:
Motherships: Motherships can hold up to 3 ships and can move all attached ships together.
Blockades: You can blockade enemy planets with your ships to prevent them from capturing or defending.
Alliances: You can form alliances with other players to gain advantages.
Winning:
The game ends when one player conquers all planets or eliminates all opponents.
